On the platform, BuildingBlok offers a range of tools and field mobile applications so that employees can communicate and collaborate effortlessly. BuildingBlok offers workflow tools that replace tracking and excel logs, like Request for Information (RFI), submittals, ASIs, change orders, payment applications and invoices; and has also an integrated job costing feature that helps companies track changes to their budget in real time.

“Companies want mobile application tools that will allow mobile users to update their daily reports, time sheets, project schedules from anywhere at any time. They can create construction documents or upload photos to communicate with the customers,” adds Nolan. The field mobile application tools present information on phones and tablets allowing everyone to get information regardless of location, leading to increased efficiency and decreased error based on lack of communication and shared knowledge.

Additionally, the company offers transparency and accountability for the parties involved in a construction project. For example, when EdiS, a million-dollar construction company approached BuildingBlok, they were struggling with an almost overwhelming amount of paperwork, costing the firm countless hours and dollars to review and manage. After implementing the platform, EDiS was able to enter orders online and update logins allowing them to earn 50 percent profit by the end of the year.
